The Axial® SCX10 ™ III Jeep® JT Gladiator 4WD RTR in 1/10th scale marks the next step in ready-to-run off-road action. While the SCX10 ™ III chassis still incorporates key components that have made SCX10 ™ vehicles successful, it increases realism with details like a mock V8 engine for the front-mounted 540-brush engine, which is connected to a realistic transmission case and transfer case just like in an original vehicle. The Spektrum ™ DX3 ™ 3-channel 2.4 GHz DSMR® transmitter and the Spektrum ™ 40A ESC / receiver also give you the benefits of innovative Spektrum ™ Smart technology
The SCX10 ™ III Jeep® JT Gladiator transmission offers out-of-the-box third-channel DIG capability that lets you lock the rear axle on the transmitter side for a tighter turning radius with front-wheel drive only. Although locked out of the box, you can set the vehicle to have a 40% faster second gear instead of DIG - or both by adding another microservo and using a remote control with at least four channels (e.g. the 5-channel Spectrum DX5) ) which gives you access to the DIG function and the two-speed transmission at the same time.
The SCX10 ™ III Jeep® JT Gladiator uses new AR45 ™ portal axles to improve performance by increasing ground clearance and reducing torque twist. The engine is located at the front of the chassis for increased front-end load capacity. The standard battery compartment is located near the center of the vehicle to improve balance and accepts full-size LiPo or NiMH packs. There are also spots in the side boxes for drivers who prefer smaller "shorty" LiPo packs. Fenders and side panels hide internal components that are normally visible from the side of the chassis.
Rounding out the chassis is a Jeep® JT Gladiator body that mirrors the original with many extremely authentic details. The body features over 20 injection molded parts including door handles, mirrors, vents and more to help take the realism of the polycarbonate body to a new level. The body has been split into three parts for a more realistic deep removal. Officially licensed Nitto Trail Grappler tires on three-piece beadlock wheels add realism and more grip on dirt, rocks and all other off-road tracks.
With Spektrum ™ DX3 ™ remote control, you'll enjoy the superior range, response and noise immunity of DSMR® technology. Along with the installed Firma ™ Smart 40A ESC / receiver unit, you also get the benefits of exclusive Spektrum ™ Smart technology. When you use a Spektrum Smart LiPo, you can see the vehicle battery capacity at a glance on the DX3 transmitter's voltage level display. Equip the DX3 with the optional BT2000 Bluetooth module and download the free Spektrum Dashboard ™ app to your smart device. You can also use smart real-time telemetry - without any other integrated sensors or modules.
