TRAXXAS STABILITY MANAGEMENT™ (TSM)
Traxxas Stability Management™ (TSM) works behind the scenes to harness the extreme brushless power of the X-Maxx 4x4 8S for maximum acceleration and ultra-precise control. Go ahead, give it full throttle! TSM never limits power output, but works with barely noticeable steering inputs to ensure the X-Maxx always goes where you steer it, even when traction is lost due to spinning tires. The intensity of the TSM assistance can be conveniently adjusted on the handheld transmitter.
sUPERIOR DRIVETRAIN PROTECTION
The X-Maxx's robust and direct drivetrain reduces rotational mass and provides superior durability. The drive train is fully shielded inside the chassis for worry-free operation, safe from rocks and other debris. DETAILS
The full X-Maxx experience of strength, power and agility depends on all the carefully crafted details that come to light piece by piece. Old conventions have been discarded as every system and dimension has been examined and re-engineered. This is how an RC monster truck in a class of its own was created.
Modular Chassis Design
The interlocking modular chassis design holds the engine and transmission drive together as a unit, making the gear-breaking chassis virtually impossible to flex. In addition, the design provides easy access to critical components, so any necessary maintenance or repairs can be performed in a snap.
New 8s tires
The wheels and tires are massive, as is the grip of the hyper-aggressive off-road tread. Traxxas specifically designed a new tire compound and mounting system to handle the wild speeds. Full-throttle tire-squealing acceleration is more fun than ever, without the worry of ripping a tire off the bead. Traxxas engineers have overlooked nothing to ensure the ultimate durability you expect from a Traxxas truck. Of course, if the tread has suffered after too many full-throttle accelerations, new tires are available from Monster Hopups.
GTX aluminum shocks
The X-Maxx's four enormous, oil-filled, high-performance GTX aluminum shocks smooth out the roughest terrain for the super-plush ride that made the first Maxx truck famous. The large oil capacity dissipates heat for all-day use, while an integrated wiper seal keeps shafts clean and reduces seal wear for long life.
Motor mount with dual cooling fans
The all-new motor mount design accommodates the motor so it cannot flex on the mount. The gear mesh is held firmly in place by wedge bolts, so no complicated adjustments are required. The elimination of bending means longer gear life, even under the toughest conditions. The new dual fan assembly helps cool the engine for longer run times and maximum fun.
Movable
A new servo has been created to deliver the power and torque needed to provide unmatched steering effort. The quick steering and tight turning circle, combined with advanced suspension geometry, provide maneuverability and control you wouldn't expect from such a large RC vehicle.
Damping
The X-Maxx is equipped with new energy-absorbing impact absorbers behind the front and rear bumpers to soften impacts and make it even more durable in demanding situations, including unexpected ones.
Fully waterproof
Water? Mud? Snow? "Bring it on!" Traxxas was the first company to offer patented innovative waterproofing solutions to extend RC fun into environments previously off-limits to RC trucks. The X-Maxx is completely waterproof - when you return from an extended tour, just grab the hose and hose it off.
Clipless case mounting
Traditional clip and post frame mounting solutions are yesterday's news. Instead, the X-Maxx uses an innovative body locking system that secures the body firmly and easily. Removing the body is therefore a matter of seconds with just a few simple steps.
Integrated wheelie bar
A wheelie bar is mandatory equipment for a truck that accelerates so brutally. It prevents the truck from rolling over backwards under full throttle acceleration and absorbs shocks during less than perfect landings.
