Agile, Affordable and Upgradeable
The ready-to-run Axial® SCX10™ II Deadbolt™ 4WD is a budget-friendly, high-performance and easily upgradable RC rock crawler that is perfect for both experienced adventurers and novice hobbyists. It combines the rugged scale look with the exceptional handling of the trail-ready SCX10 II chassis in a 12-inch short wheelbase setup that's agile enough to tackle twisty trails.
The SCX10 II remains one of the best 1/10th scale rock crawler chassis ever developed. This high-strength C-section chassis is made of heavy-duty steel with cross braces for reinforcement and rigidity. The contoured skid plate greatly reduces hang-ups, and the simplified design makes maintenance quick and easy.
The SCX10 II Deadbolt 4WD is highly customizable and also features an adjustable wheelbase, adjustable body mount, adjustable bumper mounts with stabilizer mounting points and mounting points for an optional 2-speed transmission and power winch. The included LCX AX10™ transmission with heavy-duty slipper, sealed gear cover and all-metal gears accepts a wide range of transmission options. Its overall gearing can be adjusted with different pinions and main gears for super-high speeds or competition-level crawl speeds.
Just as a full-blown truck has its steering gear located on the frame, Axial® places the Deadbolt's adjustable servo mount on the SCX10 II's chassis frame, allowing the use of a variety of servos. Universal joint axles allow steering angles of up to 45° and provide an efficient, high-performance driveline. The one-piece AR44™ front and rear axles feature a molded beam for extreme durability. Pinion is 6mm over center for increased ground clearance and improved driveshaft angles. Metal dog bones and spiral-cut gears are standard equipment, and the drivetrain includes high-quality ball bearings throughout the vehicle.
Oil-filled shocks with threaded housing and a coil spring can be adjusted to meet the damping requirements of any trail. Realistic shock brackets with multiple mounting positions allow you to adjust the suspension for maximum performance. S30 compound, 4.7" x 1.9" wide Nitto Trail Grappler M/T tires on METHOD 307-hole rims provide ample ground clearance for off-road trails and have a coarse block tread pattern for excellent bite on any terrain.
Featuring a realistic driver figure and an exterior cage with light bar (LED lights sold separately), the Axial® SCX10 II Deadbolt 4WD offers scale driving fun and top-notch performance in a convenient, ready-to-go package. Virtually all electronics, including a Spektrum™ SLT2 2.4 GHz remote control, motor and ESC, are included. Just use your batteries and charger and start your adventure!
STEEL C-PROFILE LADDER FRAME
The realistic, high-strength C-section chassis of the SCX10™ II is made of heavy-duty steel with cross braces for reinforcement and rigidity. The contoured underride guard significantly reduces hang-ups, and the simplified design makes maintenance quick and easy. There is also an adjustable body mount, adjustable bumper mounts with stabilizer mounting points, and mounting points for an optional 2-speed transmission and optional power winch
ADJUSTABLE WHEELBASE
The Deadbolt SCX10 II chassis is designed for a wheelbase length of 12.0 inches, but can be easily adjusted to a wheelbase of 11.4 inches or 12.3 inches (optional connection kits sold separately). Axial designed the chassis so that all wheelbase adjustability is done in the rear without affecting the front suspension geometry. Easy removal and installation of the suspension links and modification of the drive shaft length allow for easier wheelbase adjustment.
LCX AX10™ TRANSMISSION
The proven LCX AX10 transmission features a three-tooth gear layout, heavy-duty slipper, sealed gear cover and all-metal gears. It is intended to provide a wide range of gear options. The overall gear ratio can be adjusted with different sprockets and master gears, allowing for super high speeds or competition level crawl speeds.
4-LINK REAR SUSPENSION HANGING
The suspension geometry uses a 4-link rear design that is optimized to reduce axle steer and torque twist. It also helps with steep off-camber climbs by having the right amount of anti-squat and roll characteristics.
WB8 HD WILDBOAR™ DRIVE SHAFT
The WB8 HD Wildboar™ front and rear drive shafts have a larger diameter cross pin (2 x 11 mm) along with an M4 bolt shaft (2 mm hex drive) for added strength. A center splined slider floats between each end and has additional material to reduce flex and fatigue.
AR44™ HIGH PINION AXLE
One-piece AR44 front and rear axles feature a molded carrier for extreme durability. Pinion is 6 mm above center, increasing ground clearance and improving driveshaft angles. Metal dog bones and spiral cut internal gears are standard equipment, and the drivetrain includes full high quality ball bearings.
CHASSIS-MOUNTED SERVO
Just as a large truck has the steering gear located on the frame, Axial places the servo mounting location on the chassis. The adjustable servo mounting system allows the use of a variety of servos
ADJUSTABLE SPRING SHOCK DAMPERS
The oil-filled shocks have threaded bodies with a coil spring. Damping rate can be adjusted to meet trail requirements. Realistic shock brackets with multiple mounting positions allow you to adjust your suspension for maximum performance.
METHOD 307 1.9" HOLE RIMS
Officially licensed METHOD 307 Hole 1.9-inch rims offer durability and a clean look. Hole rims feature an implied beadlock ring that uses a strategically placed undercut on the outer lip of the wheel.
NITTO TRAIL GRAPPLER M/T 1.9" TIRES
The Nitto Trail Grappler M/T tires included with the SCX10 II Deadbolt are S30 compound, 4.7" (119.4 mm) x 1.9" (48.2 mm) wide and provide ample ground clearance for off-road trails. The large block tread pattern provides excellent bite on any terrain.
WATERPROOF RECEIVER BOX
The receiver box is located on the side plates for easy access and a lower center of gravity. Three silicone gaskets are included: one for the antenna, one for the servo wires (with three slots for three channels) and one that acts as a gasket for the receiver box cover.
SPEKTRUM™ 40A BRUSHED ESC WITH IC3® CONNECTION
The Spektrum™ 40A Brushed ESC (SPMXSE1040) is 2-3S LiPo capable, but can be easily switched between LiPo and NiMH battery types on the fly.
Rated 40 amps
2-3S LiPo compatible
