We offer our ball bearing sets in two variants:
Ball bearings with rubber seal (2RS) are the right thing for off-road use.
Minimizes wear from dust and dirt, resulting in longer smooth running without creaking or cracking. No maintenance required.
Slightly higher friction than metal seals, but still much better than plain bearings (or dirty metal seal ball bearings...)
Ball bearings with metal seal (ZZ) have low rolling resistance, bring more speed and battery life.
heat can be dissipated better, so the ball bearings have less wear, especially at high rotational speeds.
On the other hand, the seal does not protect as well against dust and dirt compared to rubber seals.
Ball bearings with metal seals are therefore particularly suitable for the "innards" (engines, gearboxes, clutches, etc.) and also for the suspension of smooth trackers or cars that are not used off-road.
