The Traxxas Rustler® 4X4 VXL is a high-bred RC wheelie machine that captures the speed and classic style of the best-selling Rustler, giving it brutal four-wheel drive performance, increased durability and even more fun! Give it full throttle and the Rustler 4X4 VXL takes off with a wheelie as it shreds the ground beneath it. Under the sleek, clipless body, the high-performance drivetrain delivers extreme Velineon® brushless horsepower. The large Talon EXT wheels and tires provide versatility and grip for any terrain, from outdoor trails to concrete skate parks. The Rustler 4X4 VXL shatters convention to become the new performance and fun standard for 4X4 RC Stadium Trucks! Depending on configuration and battery power, the Rustler 4X4 VXL can reach speeds of over 100 km/h.
100+ km/h: Ultimate RC Power
The Traxxas Velineon® drive system is synonymous with extreme brushless RC power. The drive system is optimized for speed and acceleration. From the patented Traxxas high-current connector to the custom-wound 4-pole motor. The system delivers ultimate efficiency, speed and runtime along with refined control. The super-efficient all-wheel-drive system uses an extruded aluminum central driveshaft that connects the front and rear high-performance differentials with smooth-running steel internal gearing. Silicone seals help to adjust the locking effect by changing the viscosity of the fluid inside the differentials. At Monster-Hopups, you'll find a wide selection of matching oils in the store. Together with all-wheel drive and the engine, it's performance the Traxxas way: crazy fast and easy to use.
THE RUSTLER SETUP
The low-CG chassis has an extremely low center of gravity for aggressive handling and high cornering speeds. The wheelbase has been lengthened to provide the perfect balance between stability and quick response. Velineon brushless power flows through a larger Revo®-Spec slipper clutch with heavy-duty alloy pressure plates and high-temperature aluminum linings for superior power transfer. The slim clutch provides smooth power distribution, instant throttle response through the drive system and aggressive four-wheel grip. The new, extremely durable heavy-duty drive shafts and wheel suspensions are as robust as never before to ensure power and performance over the long term. SELF-DEVELOPMENT
This Traxxas innovation changes everything. The RC Rustler 4X4 VXL features Traxxas' patented Self-Righting feature, so even if you get carried away with wheelies or land upside down after a jump, the fun doesn't stop there. Simply press a button on the TQi™ transmitter and in most cases, the Rustler 4X4 VXL is back on its wheels and ready for more action in seconds!**The Self-Righting feature requires a 3S LiPo battery, sold separately at Monster Hopups.
CLIPLESS CHECK ATTACHMENT
similar to the flagship X-Maxx and then the E-Revo, the Rustler 4X4 VXL uses a clipless body mounting system for secure mounting and quick, one-handed removal and installation. Body clips are no longer necessary, so battery replacement is also quick and easy. The sleek, aerodynamic body features a rugged interior structure and exterior rollover protection for durability.

TQI RADIO SYSTEM
The Traxxas TQi™ 2.4GHz radio system delivers superior speed, precision and control. It's Traxxas Link™ capable, so you can add the wireless module sold separately at Monster Hopups and connect to your smartphone wirelessly via the Traxxas Link app. With the Traxxas Link app, you can adjust settings and view real-time telemetry of your RC truck with optional accessories. In the event of a loss of signal, the receiver automatically resets throttle to neutral and holds the last steering position.
TRAXXAS STABILITY MANAGEMENT™ (TSM)
Traxxas Stability Management™ (TSM) works behind the scenes to harness the extreme brushless power of the Rustler 4x4 VXL for maximum acceleration and ultra-precise control . Go ahead, give it full throttle! TSM never limits power output, but works with barely noticeable steering inputs to ensure the Rustler always goes where you steer it, even when traction is lost due to spinning tires. The intensity of the TSM assistance can be conveniently adjusted on the handheld transmitter.
VXL-3S ESC
The waterproof Velineon controller is packed with technology for maximum performance. A large heat sink, integrated on/off switch and three programmable drive profiles top the feature list. Two-stage low voltage detection allows for full LiPo compatibility, including powerful 11.1-volt 3S packs!
WHEELS AND TIRES
The Rustler 4X4 VXL RC Truck's large 2.8-inch black chrome wheels provide off-road ground clearance and a commanding look. The Talon™ EXT tires have an aggressive tread design with square shoulders that dig into gravel, dirt and grass to provide incredible 4X4 traction along with a huge footprint.
